Furby, "the first gigapet you can pet" will be back in stores just in time to create an inflated demand during this holiday shopping season, but it's not exactly the electronic toy you remember.
Now dayglo in color and with blinking LCDs where eyes should be, the new Furby reacts to external stimuli like light changes, touching, speech and music. Also Furby 2.0 now interacts with a smartphone app for things like feeding and translating hes/its native "Furbish".
New Furby will retail for $60, and is scheduled to ship in October.
