Haystack South Shore Closes

South Shore at Haystack Reservoir east of Culver has been trashed so badly that the Bureau of Reclamation has been forced to close the area indefinitely. Kathy Cushman of the Bend field office calls the closure "temporary", saying, for now, it's not safe for people to be there due to health and safety hazards. She says just how and when the area will be reopened will be decided through a public analysis process.
